CHAMBER RECEIVES GRANT
FROM
MUSKOKA COMMUNITY FUTURES DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

The Port Sydney/Utterson & Area Chamber of Commerce has received a grant for Office Upgrades to the Chamber office.  In reviewing the Chamber application to Muskoka Futures, the Muskoka Futures Community Investment Committee agreed that this project will not only elevate the professional image of the Chamber of Commerce but is a good sign of the success of the first year in our new office.

Cheque will be presented by Muskoka Community Futures Development Corporation to the Chamber at a Business After Work event at The Port Inn on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 - 6 p.m.

On behalf of our Board, and our members, we would like to extend our appreciation for the support of this program.

The Port Sydney/Utterson & Area Chamber of Commerce office was opened in the summer of 2006 as a Summer Institute Centre and operated during the summer months.  Now we have expanded and evolved into a permanent, professional store-front office space and have become very visible in the community.  Our first mandate is to support and promote the businesses of our members.  The second is to create a more efficient office display area for our businesses to display their brochures, cards. etc. and the third is to promote our local area to our visitors and to ensure that their stay is enjoyable and will be repeated in the future.

Chamber placeMission Statement
Positive Publicity and networking for our businesses.  Direct support to members on important issues.  Support for community projects.  Making our community a great place in which to live, work and play.
