Business Directory
In the Spring of each year The Chamber publishes a directory of our Business Members that is distributed to its members and over 2000 households in Port Sydney and Utterson. In 2006 this Directory has been expanded to include business ads and listings alphabetically and by business classification.

Visitor / Residents Information Services
Starting with the Summer of 2006, the Chamber will operate a Summer Information Centre for residents and visitors. A wide range of promotional material will be available, including the Business Directory, Area Map, member brochures and product displays. From this facility we will be able to provide information to our visitors regarding accommodations, local area events, restaurants, and businesses and services. Don't miss this opportunity!
Throughout the year members will have the opportunity to advertise their businesses and services at trade shows attended by the Chamber (e.g. The Cottage Life Show and The International Snowmobile Show). We are always looking at new venues for promoting
our members.

Area Map
Put your business “on the map” by participating in the Area Map annually produced by the Chamber. The map is available to local residents and visitors; chamber members participating in this publication are highlighted around the perimeter of the map.

Annually we present the “Business of the Year” Award to a business member who is recognized as a leader within our community. Additional awards are in the development stage.
“Things To Do” Guide
Each June, the Chamber publishes a guide to community events and contacts for community organizations to attract visitors to our community. The same information is provided on our web site under “Events”.

Positive Promotion of Businesses by Leadership In Community Issues
The Chamber keeps a strong liaison with other community groups and has taken a leadership role on such recent issues as the dangerous intersection of addressStreetsouth Mary Lake Road and Highway 11, and the need for buoys at the outlet of theMuskoka PlaceTypeRiver.
Active Community Support
The Chamber is proud of its reputation for being an active community member. Annually we organize the Canada Day Celebrations held at the placePlaceNameMary PlaceNameLake PlaceTypeBeach and the Port Sydney Winter Carnival. In 2006 we also were involved in the “Walk for Guide Dogs” along with the Stephenson District Lions Club.
Networking at “Business After Work”
Members have a chance to meet, network, promote their businesses, discuss business issues and develop relationships with other members at these regular meetings. Sessions are attended by members as well as representatives from other local organizations supporting business development
(e.g. PersonNameMuskoka Tourism and Muskoka Futures).

Keeping In Touch
The Chamber regularly informs its members about events, seminars and information that could help to build your business. Education sessions are in the planning stage. Members are welcome to attend the monthly meetings.
